So was anyone else here in the Midwest awakened by the 5.2 magnitude quake this morning? Scared the crap out of a lot of people here in Indiana, the epicenter was in West Salem, IL. The quake happened at 5:39 am this morning, with several aftershocks and a significant 4.? aftershock around 11:15.
I woke up to my Dog growling/barking, sat at the edge of the bed and everything started shaking. I was like at first I thought it was a storm but then realized what was going on. It lasted about 20 seconds here, but longer in some areas. I know some of you from Cali might think that this is a pretty dumb post, but for us here in the Midwest its not too common. Its been 20 years since anything like this has happened in our region.

Being a cali native and still being here I'll tell you. Small quakes dont really bug me but when i feel something significant like that. I get FREAKED out still. So I dont take that as an odd thing. its scary I know. just get under somethin solid!
