I've been searching around on the site and looking for an answer to this question but havent found one i like yet. i need a downstream O2 sensor and i know the right thing to do is go to the dealer but 186 dollars isnt something i have. obviously it doesnt need to be taken care of right away and i have a '95 avi so inspections arent a problem but has anyone put a NTK or Denso O2 sensor in theirs and had any luck?
Thanks,
Geoff

Just a suggestion, Geoff, but you might want to search the Camry forums as well for info. There are a number of threads like this one.....

...discussing Denso O2 sensors, etc. Hope it can help shed light on that for you.

I put a denso in a few years ago and haven't had any problems. part # is 234-4209. they are about 35 bucks on amazon.com. if you are talking about the one by the cat converter then heat it up with a torch a bit and it will come out a lot easier. pull the carpet up on the passenger side to get to the wires.

Ya i know how to do it. i pulled the resonator section off the avi because i had to weld a new flange on it. while i was doing the metal work i broke the sensor . Oh well something had to go wrong eventually something always does haha. but ya i wanted to know of peoples experiences thnks for the part number saved me some research time.
