What's the best polish/wax compound for a black 2010 Corolla S?

Hi All,

What's the best polish/wax compound for a black 2010 Corolla S?

I'm interested in something not ultra expensive but also that would allow me to protect the car's paint and add nice look to it.

Something that I can get in Autozone, Target or something...

Thanks

Most of the high end car owners I know use Zaino. Everyone I know with a Ferrari, Lambo, Aston, Porsche, Bentley or anything along those lines swear by it. It is a huge hit with the guys on the s2000 boards as well as those guys are more anal about their cars than most Ferrari owners I know. We used to recomment it at the Aston Martin dealer that I worked at.

If you want over the counter products , megs nxt2.0 or the new ultimate wax.

I would also suggest looking online, if you go this route look at black fire wet diamond. Easy to use and protects great.

Damn rallykid. How many people do you know with a Ferrari, Lambo, Aston, Porsche, or Bentley?!? I know . . . . . none. I've heard good things about Zaino as well although I know nothing about the product.

Working at an Aston Martin dealer I got to know a lot of people. If they have one high end car they usually have a lot more. You would be amazed at some peoples collections. You are here so you are a car guy too. Now imagine what your garage would look like if you pulled down 7 figures a year.

There is a guy that lives by me that has 3 Porsches parked outside year round. I was saddened by that until I saw all of his garage doors open one day. A 928S4, 911 Turbo, Ferrari 360, Ferrari 550, Lambo Gallardo, Lambo Countach 5000S, an old Pro Street Studebaker, Aston Vanquish, an original Shelby 427 Cobra and what appeared to be 4 or 5 other cars in the back of the garage. Must suck to be poor like that huh?

A guy that I know that worked at a coffee shop got a Ferrari 360 Spyder from his parents for his birthday. Nice kid, early 20's, down to Earth and apparently his family was loaded. One of my friends/neighbors has a 700HP R32 Skyline GTR he refers to as "Godzilla".

Sigh.......Someday.....someday

Most every high end dealer in the NW recommends Griot's products. There were a bunch of dealer owners at the Griot's store the last time I was up there. I myself have used many other products that have been mentioned in this thread & none have been as good as the Griot's products that I now use. They make a special polish just for black cars, Machine Polish 4. After that you can use a sealant to protect the shine & even apply the "Best Of Show Wax" over that for a shine that can't be beat. You have to try them before you will ever understand the quality.

I've been wanting to get the Turtle Wax Blackbox. It's specially made for black cars. I believe the wax itself is black and I"ve seen youtube videos and the results look pretty good.

I've recently seen them in walmart now.

Don't mean to shift the thread , but any opinions on good products for a SW rolla? I just recently noticed that I didnt clean off the residue correctly from when I removed dealer sticker and has been bothering me , just waiting on it to get alittle warmer to wash. Any input would be thankeded.
